Richard Newton has more than a decade’s experience providing strategic advice to the highest level of decision makers in Federal and State Liberal Governments.
As a Ministerial Adviser in the WA Barnett Government, he worked across several key infrastructure portfolios including transport, roads, public transport, ports, finance and agriculture.
During the Morrison and Turnbull Federal Governments, Richard was an adviser to the Assistant Minister to the Prime Minister and Cabinet and gained a close understanding of how government works and of the best ways to achieve local results through community issues campaigning.
Most recently as Deputy State Director of the WA Liberal Party, Richard led a team of staff and volunteers, coordinating the logistics and local issues campaigns of MPs and candidates.
With experience devising media, advertising and communications campaigns across a range of platforms including television, radio, print and digital, he is well placed to help clients shape their story and deliver outcomes.
Richard is a former Board Member of Capital Community Radio and continues his volunteer support of this organisation, completing broadcasting licence and regulatory requirements, as well as presenting a weekly on-air program.
He holds Bachelors in Commerce and Communication Studies from the University of WA and Post Graduate qualifications in Journalism from Curtin University.
